Toyota doesn't stop "throwing out" special editions of its GT86 sports model, as if their life depends on it! And this is the last in the series ...
Black Limited's 86-brand Black and Gold brand will be made and sold in exactly 86 copies in its native Japan alone, Top Gear announces.
Inspired by the cult sports coupe version of the longest-selling car in the history of the Toyota Corolla (in various markets also known as Corolla Levin, Corolla DX and Sprinter Trueno), which was named Black Limited AE86 Sprinter Trueno, GT86 Black Limited gets metallic black bodywork, gold 17-inch wheels and a small tail spoiler.
The interior is complete in leather and Alcantara, with several Black Limited markings, so that the driver does not accidentally forget which car he is driving.
In terms of mechanics, there are a few changes to the Brembo brakes with red colored tongs and Sachs shock absorbers.
Power comes from the same two-liter four-cylinder boxer engine as the standard version, which delivers 204hp to the rear wheels at 208Nm.
Half of these Toyota limited series will be equipped with six-speed manual transmissions, while the rest will have six-speed automatic transmissions.
